k-ville comes to five’s family of channels

Five has acquired the exclusive terrestrial and digital television rights to K-Ville, the hotly-anticipated new cop drama series from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, it was announced today

K-Ville is a buddy cop drama set in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans. Criminals roam the streets with AK-47s, many cops have quit, and the jails, police stations and crime labs still haven’ t been rebuilt. But the cops who remain have a passion to reclaim their city.

Marlin Boulet (Anthony Anderson) is a veteran of the specialist unit that targets the most-wanted criminals. Two years after his partner deserted him during the storm, he now bends the rules to collar the bad guys. His new partner, Trevor Cobb (Cole Hauser) was a soldier in Afghanistan before joining the police and has come to New Orleans seeking redemption. Also new are: hotheaded Billy “K-9” Faust
(Maximiliano Hernández); wisecracking Jeff “Glue Boy” Gooden (Blake Shields); Ginger “Love Tap” LeBeau (Tawny Cypress) the only female on the squad and Captain James Embry (John Carroll Lynch).

From creator and executive producer Jonathan Lisco (NYPD Blue, The District). K-Ville is currently in production and will premiere in the States on Monday 17th September at 9pm on the FOX Network and
broadcast early 2008 on Five’ s family of channels.
