Its Liz’s (Beverley Callard) hen night and as the booze flows and the women wait for Commando Sam – the stripper – they start to gossip about what good kissers their men are. Carla’s (Alison King) still feeling jealous about Liam (Rob James-Collier) and Maria’s (Samia Smith) relationship and can’t resist confessing that Tony’s a better kisser than Liam.

Maria’s horrified and isn’t pacified by Carla’s half hearted promise that it meant nothing. She’s still annoyed when she arrives home but is appeased when Liam admits that they did kiss once after she came onto him, but he instantly regretted it and can’t stand his sister-in-law. Will she realise that their fiery relationship is fuelled by passion and not dislike? And how will she feel if she finds out that Liam made the first move?

David (Jack P Shepherd) is still denying he’s involved with drugs and feels a burning sense of injustice when no-one believes him. Meanwhile, Sarah (Tina O’Brien) is relishing the situation and feigns disappointment for Stephen (Todd Boyce) that David’s let him down, claiming that she’s gutted that now she and Jason (Ryan Thomas) will have to move out. What does Sarah want from Stephen?

Over at the pub, Michelle (Kym Ryder) is distracted as she wonders whether Ryan (Ben Thompson) is her son or not. Unable to keep up her brave face any longer, she breaks down in Steve’s (Simon Gregson) arms and decides that she needs to find a way to put an end to this. What will Michelle do?

Elsewhere, Rosie (Helen Flanagan) is getting ready for her night away with John (Graeme Hawley) and has asked Sally (Sally Whittaker) to cancel her birthday meal claiming that she’s arranged to go out with her mates. But is she prepared to hear what he has to say?

Rosie’s (Helen Flanagan) dreams of a romantic escape are shattered when John (Graeme Hawley) is reluctant to indulge in a luxurious champagne breakfast with her the next morning and scurries around trying to get ready, feeling guilty about Fiz (Jennie McAlpine).

Back on the Street, Fiz is brimming with excitement at the prospect of her first Christmas with John but when Rosie informs him that she wants a proper relationship and that one stolen night isn’t enough for her, he’s shocked. As Rosie tells him that she won’t share him with Fiz and if he doesn’t tell her then she will, he’s worried. Will John end his relationship with Fiz on Christmas Eve? If he doesn’t how will he ensure his affair remains a secret?

Meanwhile, no one believes David’s (Jack P Shepherd) assertion that Sarah (Tina O’ Brien) set him up, and whilst he becomes more and more depressed, Sarah continues to work on Stephen (Todd Boyce), subtly dropping hints that she and Jason would love to move out of Weatherfield. Will Stephen take the bait?

Elsewhere, Maria (Samia Smith) is still seething about Liam (Rob James-Collier) and Carla’s (Alison King) kiss. When Liam confronts Carla about why she told the whole pub about it, Carla acts blasé claiming that the kiss meant nothing to her but by his reaction it was obviously a big deal to him. Carla’s clearly jealous but will Liam let her come between him and Maria?

Michelle can’t deny that she’s curious about Alex and hesitantly agrees to do a test after Christmas. However, once she’s alone with Steve (Simon Gregson) she confesses she’s worried that this isn’t what’s best for Ryan. Will she go ahead with the test?

John (Graeme Hawley) is worried after Rosie’s (Helen Flanagan) revelation that she wants him to dump Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) tonight and won’t be treated like a dirty secret anymore. John finally lies to Fiz that his family have made him realise his life isn’t working out as planned and he wanted to make a real go of his career before settling down. However, when Fiz guesses that he’s about to call things off she begs him not to, and seeing how upset she is, John backtracks. He’s wrought with guilt and when Rosie puts pressure on him to do it after Christmas, he’s torn. What will he do?

While David (Jack P Shepherd) refuses to attend the family Christmas Eve gathering, Sarah’s (Tina O’Brien) plan is working a treat and she’s delighted when Stephen (Todd Boyce) asks if Jason (Ryan Thomas) would be interested in taking the job that he offered David. Sarah jumps in to accept the job for herself and can’t hide her excitement about their exotic new life in Milan. Jason’s unsure about making such a big move, will she manage to convince him to leave Weatherfield?

It’s Christmas Day and as Sally (Sally Whittaker) busily prepares for the family lunch, Rosie (Helen Flanagan) sneaks out to meet John (Graeme Hawley) who has lied to Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) that he needs to buy nutmeg for the Christmas dinner. Upon meeting a panicked John, Rosie demands to know what the score is with Fiz, as she wants a proper relationship and she wants him to dump Fiz asap.

Back on the street, Fiz is excited about spending the day with her perfect man and hasn’t been able to resist the temptation of opening her presents but is baffled when she unwraps some sexy lingerie meant for a petite woman, who she instantly assumes is Sally. Storming over the road she thrusts the gift at a puzzled Sally claiming that its proof she’s having an affair with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, when Rosie opens her present and finds a large pair of frumpy flannelette pyjamas, John’s horrified as it dawns on him he’s given Rosie Fiz’s present and left Rosie’s at home with Fiz.

Flustered, he races back to the flat, practically throwing Rosie out of the car, but in the Webster’s, the two women begin throwing the underwear back and forth as Fiz continues to accuse and Sally continues to deny the allegation. When Rosie arrives home clutching the pyjamas that were meant for Fiz, there’s an awful silence as it dawns on everyone who the sexy underwear was meant for. Kevin (Michael Le Vell) is fuming and storms out of the house followed by Rosie and a devastated Fiz. When John appears, Kevin dismisses his excuses and instantly knocks him to the ground and continues to pummel him.

Bill (Peter Armitage) manages to pull Kevin off him and Sally drags Rosie home, while distraught Fiz leaves John lying on the ground and seeks comfort in Chesney (Sam Aston) and Kirk (Andrew Whyment). Back at the Websters’, everyone’s in shock that the affair has been going on under their noses and are stunned when the police arrive to arrest Kevin for assault. Sally’s left alone amidst the debris of a ruined Christmas day, but it’s not just Christmas that’s been ruined. Will Kevin start the new year behind bars? And will Fiz ever forgive John?

Over at the Rovers, Michelle (Kym Ryder) is determined to stay cheerful and tries to enjoy Christmas day for Ryan’s (Ben Thompson) sake. However, Steve (Simon Gregson) and Liam (Rob James-Collier) can see through her overly happy façade and although she claims she’s fine, she’s clearly suffering. Will Michelle be able to go through with the DNA test?

David’s (Jack P Shepherd) Christmas presents do nothing to alleviate his sense of injustice while Sarah (Tina O’Brien) desperately tries to convince Jason (Ryan Thomas) that moving to Italy is a great idea. Seeing how important it is to her Jason finally agrees to make the move. Sarah’s ecstatic and immediately tells Stephen (Todd Boyce), but agrees to keep it a secret for the sake of a peaceful Christmas Day. How will David feel when he finds out that Sarah’s hijacked his trip out of Weatherfield?

Later at their farewell party in the pub, Sarah can’t wait to leave but Jason (Ryan Thomas) seems quiet, claiming he’s happy if Sarah’s happy. When they arrive back, Jason’s unnerved when David rants to him about Sarah, telling him he feels sorry for Jason, as he‘s blind to Sarah’s true colours and she’s stiched both of them up.
