The world’s noisiest boy continues his hilarious animated adventures. Six-year-old Gerald McBoing Boing communicates with sounds instead of words; crashing, clanging, whistling and honking his way through the world.

Gerald McBoing Boing is based on the character created by Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr Seuss – the best-selling children’s author of ‘The Cat in the Hat’. Gerald originally appeared in a series of animated shorts, the first of which won an Academy Award in 1951.

In Saturday’s first episode, a chicken hatches a pig; Gerald saves Mom from a neighbour’s sprinklers; Dad misplaces Uncle Angus’s wedding ring; and a Tibetan Empress bans singing – until Monk Gerald saves the day. In the second show, a pig thinks it is an eagle; Gerald, Jacob and Janine try out a karaoke machine at the mall; Mom shows off her roller-derby moves at the ice rink; and a gelatine monster grows in a school lunch box.

In Sunday’s first show, an elephant gobbles like a turkey; Gerald, Jacob and Janine watch the circus trucks roll into town; Gerald enters a hog-calling contest; and Mermaid Janine is mermaid-napped! In the second episode, Gerald helps his sensei bring down the house; the McCloys are snowed in; and Aunt Edith loses a cat – but gains a lion!
