The one-hour special sees presenters Rory Kinnock (Dave Armand) and Gaz Cotton (Sam Spedding) as the heavenly hosts in a T4-esque studio. Together they guide the ITV2 viewers through all the best musical spoofs, plus some surprise extras; an interview with Jennifer ‘I’m fine’ Aniston, and a plug for Coleen McRooney’s new literary masterpiece Hiya! It’s Me!.
Rory and Gaz will also countdown the top three tracks of the year and discover if Katy Perry, has made it to Number One with I Licked a Chick.
Divas such as Mariah Carey (I Know a Song That Will Get On Your Nerves), Mika (Grape Jelly), Leona Lewis (Heart Bypass Love) and the Sugababes (Three New Girls) are once again shown no musical mercy, whilst Brit School old girls Kate Nash (Tampon), Adele (Talk Like This) and Amy Winehouse (Valium) are put in detention for a playful examination of their songwriting skills. There’ll also be a delve into the archives for an actual Lily Allen track – a real collector’s item these days.
And that’s not all. There will be exclusive behind the scenes footage from Take That’s comeback video shoot, and the lads from Spandau Ballet drop into the studio for a chat – as long as they can get day release from their care home.
