Family! Good Toes, Naughty Toes

Weekdays at 9.05am

The fascinating documentary series continues, focusing this week on the everyday life of the Warner-Taylor family from Norfolk. The episodes centre on four-year-old Jaid Warner-Taylor and her six-year-old brother, Josh. They live with their mum and dad in the village of Filby.

Four-year-old Jaid Warner-Taylor and her six-yearold brother Josh live with their mum, Melanie, and dad, Dan, in a rural village called Filby on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. The family are just four miles from Great Yarmouth and the beach.

Jaid is feisty, fun, and can be a bit like a bull in a china shop. She has a cheeky, mischievous side. Jaid loves ballet and attends weekly classes. She also enjoys going to her local village nursery.

Josh has just turned six. He is, in Melanie’s words, “every mum’s dream of a little boy” in that he is sensitive and kind, sharp and perceptive – as well as protective of his little sister.

Josh and Jaid enjoy a real mutual respect. They are also very close to their parents, and the four of them are a really happy family unit. Everyday activities such as washing the car, baking a cake, growing vegetables in the shed and bedtime stories are always fun in the Warner-Taylor household.

In Monday’s show, the Warner-Taylors are introduced. Jaid and her mummy practise their ‘good toes, naughty toes’, ready for ballet class.

On Tuesday it’s car-wash time in the Warner-Taylor household. Josh and Jaid end up washing each other rather than the car!

On Wednesday, Jaid and her mummy take a trip to the local shops to buy ingredients to make a cake. Back at home, Jaid wants to make the cake all by herself and the whole family tuck in.

Dan takes Josh and Jaid out for a day of fun on Thursday as Melanie is at work. They go for a walk on the Norfolk Broads – but what will they see?

In the last show of the week on Friday, Jaid is at music club on a listening walk when the rain pours down and everyone is stuck outside.
