Girls Aloud singer, Nicola Roberts, lands her on BBC show

I told you yesterday that Cheryl Cole is to get her own TV show… well, her Girls Aloud bandmate, Nicola Roberts has apparently got her own show too.

While Cheryl’s sounds like the kind of show that will be on ITV1 at 8pm like those An Audience With… programmes, Nicola’s is a very different beast.

According to The Sun, Roebrts will front a film about women who are addicted to tanning products. I imagine it’ll be shown on BBC Three. In fact, I think I’d bet a month’s wages on it.

For those that don’t know (aka Heterosexual male readers), Roberts has launched her own Dainty Doll make-up range for girls with pale skin. She’s also been seen mooching around in a ‘Pale Is The New Tan’ t-shirt as well.

Roberts has previous said: “For years I felt like the ugly one in Girls Aloud. I was tall, skinny, with red hair and the whitest skin you’ve ever seen – standing next to four of the most gorgeous girls in Britain.”

In an interview for Sugar magazine, Roberts said to have self tanned every night and every day her make up artist would paint her entire body the same colour as fellow band members Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

She was then interviewed by newsreader Huw Edwards for BBC News 24 about her addiction to fake tanning. She stated that people injecting themselves with an unlicensed tanning drug is “disturbing”.

So this is a subject that’s obviously close to her heart, which should make for a decent little television show.

Sorry if you were waiting for a joke or two from me.
