Loretta, Jake, Kris, and Nancy
Kris is suspicious of the way that Loretta has been behaving lately, and is absolutely convinced that she must have some sort of mystery man in her life.
As Loretta excitedly goes out to meet Jake in the park, she doesn’t know quite what to say or do when she bumps into Kris and Charlie, and Kris is amused by the jumpy way that she’s acting right now.
As Loretta and Kris begin to talk, Charlie heads off in the distance, and the two of them are soon flustered as they’re unsure what to do for the best; Kris suggests ringing the police, but Loretta is able to convince Kris that Charlie hasn’t been gone long and it’s therefore really not a necessary course of action just yet.
Loretta worries at first that Jake may have something to do with Charlie’s disappearance, when she catches up with him later she soon realises that she was stupid to think that though, and apologises to Jake for even thinking it.
Jake assists in the search for Charlie, back in the village Nancy is quick to accuse Jake of taking him though, and Loretta is forced to take their relationship out in the open as she reveals the truth about meeting up with Jake at the park and their secret relationship together.
Ricky and Anita
Ricky continues to stand by Anita in her time of need, and is quite worried by just how hard Anita has taken everything that has happened.
Anita is clearly depressed and Ricky feels a little hopeless as his attempts to cheer Anita up seemingly fall on deaf ears, and Ricky is even more alarmed when he discovers that Anita has decided to join her parents in Middlesbrough.
As Anita continues to think about leaving Hollyoaks to get away from her problems, the pair of them are shocked to discover that Charlie has sneaked into the shack in the woods with them.
Feeling that he needs to be returned to his rightful owners, the two of them take Charlie into the village, and everyone in the village is absolutely relieved to see Charlie return home safe and sound.
Spurred on to stick it out in Hollyoaks village, Anita decides not to retreat to Middlesbrough with her problems after all.
Darren and Hannah
Stuck at home with Darren, Hannah is feeling a bit down about her life right now, but is pleased when Darren later that night cooks her favourite meal; the meal is burnt, but the thought was there and that’s what’s most pleasing to Hannah.
Hannah tries to come onto Darren, Darren isn’t having any of it though and Hannah is taken back to square one in her unhappiness as she once again feels that there’s no one really there for her to turn to.
