Live From Studio Five: Monday 4th – Friday 8th January

Weeknights at 6.25pm

Continuing this week is the nightly magazine show hosted by Ian Wright, Melinda Messenger and Kate Walsh. Based on the day’s news agenda, ‘Live From Studio Five’ combines location reports, celebrity interviews, gossip and banter in a lively, informal environment.

Airing every weeknight, ‘Live From Studio Five’ is a forthright, spirited magazine show designed to deliver the day’s most gripping stories in a clear, entertaining way. Viewers can expect to be engaged, informed, surprised and occasionally shocked as the show’s passionate presenters discuss their personal views on the hot topics of the hour.

The show’s fresh, original format includes live and recorded reports from the streets of Britain, candid interviews with celebrities in the studio, input from viewers at home and scintillating debate. Working behind the scenes to keep the agenda constantly up to date is a team of Five News reporters.

Known as much for his no-nonsense punditry on TV and radio as for his goalscoring, former Arsenal and England footballer Ian Wright co-hosts the show. “Melinda and Kate are great girls and I love the banter we have. I struggle to get a word in when those two get going!” he says.

Alongside Ian is TV presenter, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ survivor and former glamour model Melinda Messenger. “I am very excited to be part of a brilliant, innovative show,” says Melinda.

Completing the trio of hosts is Kate Walsh, who made a name for herself as a gutsy, ambitious businesswoman with bags of attitude when she finished runner-up on this year’s ‘Apprentice’ on BBC1. “Becoming part of the presenting team on the new show is an exhilarating and thrilling challenge – and I love a challenge!” says Kate.

For an hour every night, Ian, Melinda and Kate come together to share their smart, witty opinions and common-sense approach to the big stories of the day. The show is guaranteed to be lively, unpredictable, spontaneous and often outrageous.
