The fifth season of hit crime drama BONES, starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel comes to a close on Sky 1 HD and Sky 1, Thursday 27th May at 10pm with THE BEGINNING IN THE END, and fans have been promised a big surprise by the show’s producers.
Season five has kept viewers as gripped as ever by the sizzling ‘will they won’t they’ chemistry between forensic anthropologist Dr Temperance Brennan (Deschanel) and FBI Agent Seeley Booth (Boreanaz) and things look set to come to a dramatic head in the finale.
Commenting on plans for the finale, BONES producer and writer Stephen Nathan said: “It’s going to be a pretty big episode for us in terms of what happens to Booth and Brennan… It’s real.” And stated the episode will be huge in “emotional terms.”
THE BEGINNING IN THE END sees the team work to uncover clues buried under a life’s worth of possessions saved by a hoarder in order to solve the mystery of his death. Meanwhile it becomes clear that Angela’s father has a specific purpose for his most recent visit, whilst Brennan and Booth are both confronted with unique opportunities.
Created by Hart Hanson and inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and best-selling novelist Kathy Reichs, BONES follows Brennan and Booth’s work at the Jeffersonian institute solving unusual crimes when the bodies are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that only the victim’s bones can provide clues to their fate. Helping them is the rest of the Jeffersonian team including Dr.Jack Hodgins (TJ Thyne), who is an expert on insects, spores and minerals, forensic artist Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin), Dr. Camille “Cam” Saroyan (Tamara Taylor), the street-smart coroner, and brilliant young psychologist Dr. Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley).
A ratings winner, BONES delivers the perfect mix of humour, drama and gore, made all the more real in high definition. The BONES season five finale is exclusively on Sky1 HD and Sky1 Thursday 27h May at 10pm.
