Ten Mile Menu

Monday, 26 July 2010, 5:00PM – 6:00PM on ITV1

Ten Mile Menu is a brand new daily cookery show that pits celebrities against one another in a unique, fast-pace culinary challenge. Each show sees two teams, comprising one novice celebrity and one professional chef, compete to produce the best three-course menu with locally sourced ingredients.

Shot on location across the UK, each team will battle it out as they take to the road in a race to gather the best ingredients from local suppliers within a 10 mile radius. Tracking down farms, fisheries, butchers and bakers, each side is in direct competition to find and source the best seasonal foods before the other team gets there.

Armed with their local produce, the two teams then face each other in the kitchen for a high-pressure cook-off. The winning team must serve up a taste worthy of the town, as their culinary creations go under the scrutiny of a panel made up of local residents who are proud and passionate about their regional food.

Caroline Quentin provides the voice over for this fast paced food challenge, and the celebrities putting their skills to the test include actor Ricky Groves, TV presenter Jenni Falconer, Strictly Come Dancing star Ali Bastian, adventurer Charley Boorman, Loose Women’s Sherrie Hewson, actress Linda Robson, cricket legend Phil Tufnell, comedian Rowland Rivron, athlete Colin Jackson, and actress Claire Sweeney.

Working alongside the keen celebrity cooks are some of the UK’s top chefs, including Paul Rankin, Ed Baines, Galton Blackiston, Richard Corrigan, Lawrence Keogh, Daniel Galmiche, James Tanner, Jason Atherton, Aldo Zilli, and Oliver Rowe.
