EastEnders: News & Gossip – Kat Slater’s pregnant!

When Kat Slater – Jesse Wallace – returns to Albert Square later this year, she’ll be pregnant!
She and husband Alfie Moon – Shane Richie – are set to make a comeback to Walford in order to run the Queen Vic after it’s rebuilt following the much talked about fire.
We last saw the couple five years ago when they left on Christmas Day.
Jesse has been spotted on set with “a noticeable baby bump”, but the show’s bosses refuse to comment on whether Alfie is the baby’s father, prompting some speculation that maybe Alfie’s cousin – who’s due to arrive on the Square too – could be somewhat more involved with the couple than just being a cousin!
The Daily Mirror reports that a show insider said, “Fans know Kat and Alfie have been on an American road trip but not much else while they were away.
“It’s clear that although she is going to have a baby, not everything has gone completely according to plan in the last five years.”
I can’t wait to see Kat and Alfie again!!

In other EastEnders news, June Brown, who of course plays Dot Branning, reckons her secret to staying fit and well is next mixing carbs and protein.
Speaking to OK magazine, 83 year old June said, “I’ve been very fortunate because my mother looked much younger than her age.
“I’ve also followed the Hay Diet for years – you can eat all sorts of lovely things like cream and cheese but you just don’t mix protein and carbohydrates in the same meal.
“I also make sure I eat almonds every day. I grind them up and have a dessert spoonful on my porridge, as they have folic acid in them which is good for combating cancer.
“I also never touch sugar because it’s poison.”
June also added that although she of course knows smoking isn’t the healthiest hobby in the world, she tries not to worry about it…
She said, “I try not to (worry) and I don’t count how many cigarettes I smoke. I think the worry is the dangerous thing.
“I have a cover for my cigarettes so I don’t see (the health warnings). I don’t want to read all those nasty messages.
“I’m convinced that my mother’s cancer, which she died from, was caused from anxiety and stress.
“I’ve tried to give up several times. I don’t inhale, I haven’t since I was 16 when I inhaled deeply and turned green.
“I do worry sometimes about my throat. But I did say to my doctor once that I was thinking of giving up but he said ‘don’t June – you’ll kill yourself’.”
