Sherlock finale draws 7.3m

BBC One’s Sherlock finale pulled an audience of 7.3 million on Sunday night, the largest audience of its three episode run. The show, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, pulled an audience share of 31.3% for its timeslot.

Chris Walker exits MasterChef

Chris Walker has been eliminated from the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen at the end of Knockout Week on the BBC One reality show. Walker, who was up against Lisa Faulkner, Christine Hamilton, Neil Stuke and Dick Strawbrige, served a loin of pork which was deemed too complex by judges Greg Wallace and John Torode.

Amba leaves Top Model

Amba has been eliminated from the race to become Britain’s Next Top Model after delivering a less-than-impressive performance in the week’s tasks. The aspiring model was criticised by judges for not utilising what she’s got in the photo shoots.

Audience member joins DSB Supergroup

An audience member has been added to the Don’t Stop Believing Supergroup after catching the eye of producers while he was in attendance at Sunday’s show. Dominic Smith impressed with a break dance routine and a rendition of Fly Me To The Moon.

The Songtimers take out DSB heat

Songtime Theatre Arts School group The Songtimers has taken out this week’s heat on Don’t Stop Believing. The group, which say they are inspired by Glee, impressed the judges with their renditions of Man in the Mirror and Keep Holding On.

The X Factor to return late August

The X Factor has been confirmed for an August 21 starting date on ITV1. The show will return with judges Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Louie Walsh and Cheryl Cole at 8.30pm with The Xtra Factor following on ITV2.
