New Channel 4 drama series This Is England ’86 debuted to over 2.6 million viewers on Tuesday evening. The premiere drew a 14.9% audience share on Channel 4 from 10pm.

Apatow returning to TV
Judd Apatow is returning to TV with a new series in which he will act as executive producer. The Freaks and Geeks creator will work on the untitled HBO project about “the assorted humiliation and rare triumphs of a group of young women in their early 20s” with 24-year-old filmmaker Lena Dunham.
CNN officially confirms Morgan show
CNN has finally confirmed the worst kept TV secret, officially announcing that Piers Morgan will take up the primetime slot on the network left by the departing Larry King. Morgan will host a one-hour “candid, in-depth newsmaker interview programme” starting in January.
Englund lands Chuck role
Robert Englund, who played the original Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street movies, will make a guest appearance on the latest season of Chuck. Englund will play an evil scientist on the show.
