X Factor 2010: Cher Lloyd’s grief over Uncle’s death, and Cheryl’s written Ashley out

X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd is said to be “grief stricken” over the death of her uncle who was just 34.

17 year old Cher has been worrying the show’s bosses as she struggles to deal with the pressure of being on the show, and it seems they’re worried the death of her uncle Edward could push her over the edge.

The Sun reports that Cher was very close to her uncle who died on Friday.

A show source told the paper, “Cher has obviously been very upset since finding out about her uncle. “She’s already been under a lot of pressure in the competition.

“It’s a testing time for her – and now something awful like this has happened.

“Cher really wants to succeed. Her drive could yet see her through.”

In other show news, Cheryl Cole has effective “written out” former husband Ashley Cole in her new autobiography.

The book, Through My Eyes, makes no mention of Ashley at all, and pictures that formerly featured both Cheryl and Ashley have been airbrushed to erase him.

However, Cheryl did write about other men in her life including Will.i.am and Derek Hough. Cheryl describes Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am, as “passionate to the core”.

And of dancer Derek, she wrote, “He’s the best… he’s a sweetheart.”

The book is out on Thursday, and Cheryl’s reportedly in talks to appear on Piers Morgan’s ITV1 series Life Stories this December.
