X Factor 2010: Cheryl Cole launches ‘Promise’ rings, and Simon’s furious!
Now, call me cynical – even though that’s not my name – but as news emerged about Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough possibly taking part in a “commitment ceremony”, it’s also revealed that Cheryl’s launching a jewellery line of Promise Rings…
Co-inkydink? Maybe not…
However, as they’re going to retail for around £800 and are only available via upmarket jewelers, de Grisogono, it’s unlikely you’ll see that many of her fans sporting one.
The Sun reports that the special line of rings is being launched to coincide with the release of Cheryl’s new single, Promise This.
The paper adds, “The rings, which are designed to be worn on the little finger and feature blackened silver with the word ‘Promise’ cut out, were specially created with designer Fawaz Gruosi.”
Attending the launch party were – among other celebs – former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers and Cheryl’s bandmates, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.
In other news, Simon Cowell is said to be considering taking legal action against the website that leaked details of the final 12 acts.
The Mirror reports that, “Simon is very, very disappointed.”
A show insider added, “Simon is a complete perfectionist. This was not part of the plan.
“Everything is stage-managed to within an inch of its life so this will not be looked on favourably.”
