According to sources of the show, next year’s Strictly Come Dancing will be Bruce Forsyth’s last.
The 82 year old host stepped down a notch already this year in not presenting the Sunday results show in order to lessen his workload and it is believed he will go one further next year.
A source said, “Bruce has had an amazing time, but the strain is starting to show. He fell over a few of his autocue lines during the final and was a bit crabby during his half-time song. Everyone expects him to retire now the final is done and nobody would blame him for wanting to put his feet up.”
John Barrowman, who is taking part in the Christmas special Strictly show, has been tipped to fill Forsyth’s hosting duties when he does retire.
Barrowman will be joined by June Brown, Fern Britton, Vince Cable and Ronni Ancona in this year’s Christmas special.
