Luke, 13

Any dance that makes him smile.

To be a professional contemporary dancer, staring in shows in the West End and all over the world.

Luke’s love of dance was ignited four years ago after watching a production of Billy Elliot. The story resonated with Luke as he too suffered at the hand of bullies for being different, an experience that has only made him more determined to succeed.

Accomplished at many different styles of dance including contemporary, ballet, musical theatre, jazz and tap – Luke currently rehearses at the Excelsior School of Dance and Gymnastics twice a week for both dance and acro lessons. Luke also attends the Nottingham Theatre Dance School once a week for his ballet lessons and has recently joined the Dance4’s CAT programme, for which he trains every Saturday.

Luke believes his performances are unique because he always plays a character and tells a story by combining his dance moves with gymnastics.

Luke competed in the Disco King Competition in Blackpool in December, 2010 and made it through to the International Ballet Awards in January of this year.
