Octavia might only be eight-years-old – but having been on her toes for seven of them, she already has a dance CV that those three times her age would be proud of.

Beginning ballet training in her native Romania, Octavia studied at the Oleg Danovsky Theatre, the Fantasio Theatre and the La Sylphide School of Ballet before moving to the UK two years ago. Settling in Kingston, London, Octavia has been a pupil at the Arts Educational School of London, the Young Ballet School and is currently learning ballet, flamenco, fusion funk, jazz and “Michael Jackson style” at Pineapple Dance Studios – topped up with dance and singing sessions at Stagecoach.

Alongside her intensive training, Octavia also competes in numerous competitions. She gained first place in the Dansez Pentru Mare Festival in June 2008 and won ‘The Special Prize’ for the best solo dance.  In May 2009 she was awarded ‘The Special Prize’ by The Royal Ballet Prima Ballerina Alina Cojocaru for her performance of the Pointe Shoes at the Shawn Theatre.  In the same month she came first at the GB Dance Festival in the under nine’s category at the Shaw Theatre London and in 2010 won the UK’s Cinderella Mini Miss.  Octavia also has many acting credits to her name – her most recent appearances include playing the lead child actor in the Noms Yogurt advert on ITV1, 2 and 3, Hero Girl in a commercial for St. John’s Ambulance, Maria in the film Red Wagon and Andrea in the film Dora.
