After watching the music videos on MTV Base, QMX choreographer Joseph was inspired to try some moves in his uncle’s dance studio; he caught the dancing bug and never looked back.

Joseph went on to found The Quantum Matrix Academy of Excellence in Nottingham in 2005 with fellow professionals, where he gives dance lessons and mentors. It wasn’t long until he decided to create the ultimate dance team. After open dance auditions, QMX was formed in 2006.

Describing their style as smart, casual, colourful and funky, each member is encouraged to express their own unique creativity. QMX try to incorporate as many dance styles as possible into their routines, including salsa, stomp, lindy hop and street.

QMX are no strangers to dancing on television; choreographer Joseph won BBC’s Strictly Dance Fever in 2005.
