Tap Attack was born when choreographers Jo and Dean visited the IDO Tap Championships in 2007 and realised that there wasn’t a group representing England. After tap auditions up and down the country, the chosen few were put through extensive training.

As a non-funded team, Tap Attack raise the money needed to participate in competitions by dancing in exhibitions to pay the costs of traveling. Despite the members of the group coming from as far as Scotland, Tap Attack train together in Reading and Swindon.

The fundraising and hard work certainly paid off for Tap Attack when they were ranked 7th in the world last year in the World Tap Championships.  Tap Attack have also danced in well-known shows like Hot Shoe Shuffle, 42nd Street, Crazy For You, Anything Goes, Re-Booted, Riverdance, and Billy Elliot.
