Push The Button

Saturday, 12 February 2011, 7:20PM – 8:35PM

TV’s favourite duo, Ant and Dec are back with a new series of their popular entertainment show, Push The Button…and it’s live.

This series, the award winning presenters will be joining two competing families becoming their fifth member as they attempt to hold onto £100,000. During the four rounds the families will battle it out – and the only way to stop the money slipping away is to Push The Button

Live each Saturday night, Ant and Dec will be guiding their respective ‘families’ through a host of madcap games, with favourites from last series including ‘Simon Cowell’s Teeth’, You Do The Maths and ‘Boxing Clever’ making a return, plus lots of brand new and exciting challenges.

There will also be surprises for some members of the studio audience and the viewers at home as they too will be in with the chance to win cash prizes. Each week, one hundred lucky members of the public will be invited to appear in the show’s ‘Happy Hundred’ – Push the Button’s VIP section of the audience. With the best seats in the house they’ll get a close up view of the show and Ant and Dec – and they might even be invited to join the antics on stage.

Viewers at home will also have the opportunity to win a host of fantastic prizes including a holiday and a brand new car from the comfort of their living rooms simply by picking up their phones and taking part in ‘Play It Again Dave’.

But for the winning family the pressure is really on, as this series only one member of their team will go head to head with DAVE. To walk away with their total cash they will have to correctly identify a host of random sequences with no help from their family.

In an exciting new twist, the winning family will have the chance to increase their prize money as they are invited back to battle it out against a brand new family. Each week the reigning team’s current prize money will be banked and they will receive a new starting amount of £100,000.

Ant says: “We can’t wait to get going on another series of Push The Button. We’ve got loads of big, fun, and of course very silly games for our families to take on.”

Dec adds: “Live TV is always exciting and unpredictable and with all the new twists and turns, the second series of Push The Button will definitely liven up your Saturday nights and start the Spring with a bang!”

Commissioned by Elaine Bedell, ITV’s Director of Comedy and Entertainment and John Kaye Cooper, ITV’s Controller of Entertainment, the new series of Push The Button will air for eight weeks.

Produced for ITV by Gallowgate, Series Producer will again be Tom Beck and Executive Producer Ed Forsdick.
