The Love Bus: Birmingham

Wednesday 16 February, 10:00pm on Fiver

The unique dating show presented by Ze Salmon concludes on Fiver. In this week’s final instalment, 27-year-old mother of two Lindsey tours the streets of Birmingham looking for her ideal man. Among the lads vying for Lindsey’s affections are a 37-year-old property developer from Worcester, a funeral director from Stockport, a comic from Bognor and a student from Birmingham. Ex ‘Blue Peter’ star Ze Salmon presents this dating show with a twist. One singleton rides a specially kitted-out bus around his or her home town, while other singles wait at stops dotted around the local area. The potential dates board the bus one at a time, but they have just one stop to prove their worth to the picker – or be thrown off the bus. The chooser can decide to keep a date on board for longer than one stop, but in doing so runs the risk of passing over a more suitable partner who could be waiting further along the route. The couple left on the bus at the end of the journey win an all-expenses-paid date together. Ze’s final guest on the Love Bus is 27-year-old Lindsey, a mother of two from Birmingham. Lindsey’s friends describe her as fun, bubbly, outgoing and often outrageous. “The best thing is that I’ve just had a boob job,” she says. Now on the lookout for a new man to go with her new body, Lindsey has a very clear idea of the type of person she fancies. “Someone who is outgoing, entertaining, bubbly, good-looking and has a good physique – basically a bit of everything!” she tells Ze. Will her demands be met as she rides around her home town? The first hopeful to clime aboard Ze’s bus is 37- year-old Carl from Worcester. Carl has a successful career in the property business, but seems somewhat less experienced when it comes to wooing the ladies. He begins by reading his potential date a poem he wrote while waiting at the bus stop – and things go downhill from there. After running out of things to say, Carl spends the last moments of his trip sat in silence, before being ejected at the next stop.
