EastEnders: Jack Branning weeps when handing Tommy back

And Lacey Turner’s sister cast in Hollyoaks

The Daily Star today reports that when Jack Branning discovers Tommy isn’t his son James, he’ll break down into tears.

The scenes come when Ronnie finally tells Jack the baby isn’t his and is in fact Kat’s son, which means Jack has to hand the baby over and come to terms with the fact that his son died before he’d ever even seen him.

But of course, Ronnie and Jack’s heartbreak is overshadowed by Kat and Alfie’s joy at being reunited with their son, and as the picture above shows, they can’t hide their excitement.

Sam Womack, who of course plays Ronnie, said, “The pressure of what Ronnie has done has been building and building for months.

“There have been several moments where she’s realised what she has to do, and being in the church for Tanya’s wedding and around Kat and Alfie is particularly difficult for her.

“But it’s the car accident involving Max and Abi that makes everything just too much to bear.”

The paper adds, “She explains that returning to the place of James’s birth reminds Ronnie that his arrival was ‘the happiest day of her life’ and prompts her to do the right thing at last.”

In other news, Lacey Turner’s younger sister Daisy has landed a role in Hollyoaks.

Lacey of course played Stacey Slater in EastEnders, and Daisy debuts in Hollyoaks as Jenny later this week.

Speaking to The Sun’s TV Biz, Daisy said, “I’ve prepared myself for people to say I’m not as good as Lacey. It can be annoying to always be referred to as her sister.

“But getting this part is something that I have done on my own. I don’t want people to think I only got it because of Lacey.

“Lacey has done so well it does put pressure on me. I think she is brilliant and I want to be as good as that.

“I’ve tried my best so we will have to wait and see what people think. I’m worried because it’s my first big thing.”
