And today, The Sun reveals that she’s voluntarily checked into a rehab facility for the sake of her young daughter Honey.

TROUBLED star Gail Porter checked into rehab yesterday – for the sake of her little girl.

The TV host is intent on beating depression after her apparent suicide bid. The Sun told yesterday how she was sectioned on Wednesday night after being found in a state of distress with cuts on her arms and chest.

She later left hospital. But yesterday on/off boyfriend Jonny Davies took Gail to a private clinic – believed to be in London.

The devoted mum told pals she wants to get better for daughter Honey, eight. Gail, 40, has spoken frequently of her battle with depression, which has seen her turn to drink and drugs.

She has now agreed to cut ties with friends and family until she is better.

Last night a relieved pal said: “Finally Gail has done what she’s desperately needed to do for months. She was completely off the rails. No one wants to admit they need rehab – it takes a courageous spirit.”
