We’ll start our look at the soapy news today with Corrie, where Michael Le Vell says he hopes his character Kevin Webster will reunite with Sally (Sally Dynevor) eventually.
In an interview with Take It Easy magazine, Michael said of a possible reunion for Kevin and Sally, “We’re hoping so, but it’s not going to be in the near future…
“I love working on the Webster set, so the sooner we get back together, the better.
“But we don’t write the stuff – we just learn the lines and say it.
“[At present] Kevin is concentrating on his kids. Rosie and Sophie have accepted him back into their lives and are coming to terms with what’s happened.
“And they’ve all softened towards baby Jack – his cuteness definitely won them round.”
Over to Hollyoaks now where Keith Duffy’s young son Jay has started filming as Declan Brady, the son of bad lad Brendan, who is of course played by Emmett Scanlan.
Speaking to Holy Soap, a show insider said, “Jay is thrilled to be here. He’s enjoying working with Emmett who is also a friend of his Dad’s.
“And he’s been getting top tips from his soap star dad Keith.
“Keith has been on set offering some help and advice to his son who is proving to be a really great little actor.”
We’ll get to see Jay as Declan in August.
Finally, over at EastEnders, the show’s executive producer, Bryan Kirkwood, has reportedly told the show’s star that they must concentrate on their “day job” rather than creating a showbiz lifestyle.
And according to Holy Soap, newcomer Tony Discipline – who plays the role of Tyler Moon – has already taken the message on board.
Tony said, “Our boss gave me the best bit of advice… “He said, ‘You can either be an actor or a celebrity – it’s your decision.’ I want to be an actor.
“Don’t get me wrong though. it’s nice to have a bit of attention.”
