Plus more scandal as wannabe is reported to be an escort, and Kitty Brucknell is a “hate figure”

It’s been reported this morning that wannabe Goldie Cheung – who we saw last night making it through the first round at Boot Camp – has quit the show, saying she won’t be used as a “joke act”.
The Daily Mail states that she’s the first person to have ever left after having been chosen to go through to the show’s live rounds.
However, she failed to show up at the £5million villa in Hertfordshire where the other 15 acts who are going through to the live shows are being housed.
Her departure has now left a gap in the Overs category.
An X Factor spokesman confirmed that Goldie, whose husband is a former civil servant, had left the show for “personal reasons”.
The Mail on Sunday went to Goldie’s home and asked if she had left the show.
Goldie said, “No, I haven’t left the show. Who told you that? I haven’t even told anyone that.
“I cannot speak to you. The X Factor have told me I can’t give any interviews.”
The paper goes on to say, “Following a series of conversations with her husband, Hong Kong-born Ms Cheung concluded she was being used by the programme as a figure of fun – like last year’s tone-deaf act Wagner Carrilho – rather than a serious contender.”

In other news, another X Factor hopeful, Francesca Leigh – who calls herself Chess – is said to be leading a “secret life” as an escort.
The Sunday People states that Francesca, who charges £150 an hour, has boasted about how much she earns to other hopefuls at Boot Camp.
A source said: “Chess wasn’t ashamed to admit what she was doing. In fact, she was actually pretty chuffed with it.
“She thought it was a compliment that she was pretty enough to do it and enjoyed the lifestyle she was able to lead as a result of the cash she earned.”
The revelation comes just one day after the show was hit by a scandal involving wannabe Lascel Woods.
The 20-year-old starred in a film that was advertised on a hardcore porn website, which punters forked out around £5 to watch. But Lascel denies making money from the video.
A show source said, “First there was the news about Lascel. Now we have another hopeful with a secret past.
“The judges wouldn’t expect one of their finalists, if she gets that far, to be involved in anything like this.”
Last night, we saw Chess audition as a solo singer, but she was later seen being put into a band called The Lovettes by the judges.
Tonight, viewers will see whether the group makes it to the Judges’ Houses round.
Last night, a friend of Francesca’s said, “Chess is devastated by the claims which she says are completely untrue.
“She says she is really hurt that someone could make up these lies about her.
“All she wants to do is provide a good life for her child and concentrate on her music career.”

Our final look at X Factor news is that Daily Star report today that Kitty Brucknell has become a “hate figure” among her fellow contestants.
The paper states that Kitty has…
- Started a backstage bust-up with pretty hopeful Chrissie Pitt.
- Faked tears and pretended to break down in front of the cameras to get attention.
- Caused fights between other hopefuls by bitching behind their backs.
As we saw in last night’s show Kitty came to blows with singer Honey Shazab over what lines to sing while rehearsing for the judges.
But what we didn’t see is that Kitty had to be dragged off Chrissie Pitt after telling her to, “Get on the floor and lick my boots.”
An X Factor source revealed, “Kitty has become the most despised contestant ever. If people thought Katie Waissel was bad they haven’t seen anything yet.
“At one point, she started a fight with Chrissie and the pair had to be separated by security.
“She made an enemy out of practically every contestant due to her crocodile tears, attention-seeking and bitching.”
One hopeful added, “During Kitty’s final audition she pretended to shake and cry in front of the judges.
“One minute she was collapsing saying she couldn’t perform and then all of a sudden the music started and she turned into Lady Gaga with flashing lights.
“She is so see-through it’s embarrassing. She was always pretending to cry to get more screen time.
“She also used to bitch about people behind their backs and stir up trouble. To say she is a hate figure is an understatement.”
And hopeful Beccy Shaw said, “She used to throw herself on the floor and start crying when we were standing around waiting to go on stage.
“I just didn’t understand why someone would do that. There were a lot of arguments and a lot of tears.”
However, Kitty says she is the victim of bullying by all the other contestants.
She said, “I hated boot camp. They were all really nasty to me.
“One girl came up to me saying people were saying horrible things about me and I started looking online at all the awful rumours about me.
“I heard that Louis Walsh hated my guts and I confronted him. I embrace controversy, it’s all part of being a performer.”
