Big Brother 2011: Anton gets to be King for the day on his birthday and have a No1 hit!

Plus, Louise and Jay – a romance blossoming?

Yesterday was Anton’s birthday, and in the morning Big Brother woke the housemates with some music, and shortly after, BB gathered the housemates in the living room.

Birthday boy Anton was called into the diary room where he was given a King’s crown and a cape, and BB asked him for his birthday party song requests. When Anton gave BB the list, the all-seeing one responded that he had picked some “phat tunes”.

Big Brother then played him a special birthday message from his best friend and band mate CJ. In the message, CJ explained that while Anton has been in the house, he has released their single ‘Winner’, and it’s done amazingly well in the charts, making it into the top 10 in the midweek charts, expected to hit No.1 at the weekend.

Unknown to Anton, the housemates were all watching this on the plasma in the living room. Then, as Anton was given a chance to listen to his smash hit single in the diary room, Big Brother revealed to the other housemates that it all was in fact a trick, and that Anton’s single has not really been released, and is not really in the charts…

But in order to give Anton a birthday to remember, the housemates had to help keep Anton convinced that it was all true throughout the day.

Later in the day, Anton and the other housemates were shown a clip of CJ being interviewed by Emma Willis on ‘Big Brother’s Bit On The Side’ about their singles chart success.

However, as the evening wore on, a video message from CJ appeared on the plasma screen, informing Anton that it was all a birthday trick. But the housemates won a party given that they managed to keep the lie going all day.

As to Anton’s King for the day status, he took great pleasure in ordering everyone around, and he even used his powers for a little matchmaking, ordering Aaron to go into the living room and kiss Faye on the lips, which she found a little bit embarrassing.

Our final look at house news is that Louise and Jay are getting ever closer. The two have been flirting a lot in the living room, where Louise has been telling Jay that he’s ‘special’, and that he’ll be in the house until the end.
