International pop star Jessie J is the first of four superstar coaches to be confirmed on BBC One‘s The Voice UK.
Jessie, who has been described as having a “powerhouse of a voice” and “a unique vocal style and tone”, will join the UK version of worldwide phenomenon, The Voice. Having racked up 18 global No. 1 hits and sold over two million albums and six million singles worldwide, she is now using her musical experience to seek out and coach the nation’s next top vocal talent.
Since winning the acclaimed BBC Sound of 2011 poll and Brits Critics Choice for 2011 Jessie J has accumulated massive album sales, five MOBO nominations and stormed across the live music scene with two sell-out tours and a string of acclaimed festival performances at the likes of Glastonbury, Bestival and V Festival. Her YouTube video Price Tag has received over 148 million views, she is responsible for penning the Miley Cyrus hit Party In The USA and has co-written for Alicia Keys.
Jessie says: “I’m excited to be a coach, inspiration and mentor and I jumped at the opportunity as it’s all about ‘The Voice’.”
