Ricky Gervais has hit back at critics of his latest comedy series Life’s Too Short. “People need to see the difference between programmes that satirise/highlight/reflect exploitation, and programmes that actually exploit,” he tweeted.

Jack Whitehall will feature in a new comedy series for BBC Three. The comic will also write the series, entitled Bad Education, which will centre on a teacher described as “the worst teacher ever to grace the British education system”.
