The Daily Star today reports that X Factor judge Louis Walsh was left terrified after a deranged female stalker launched a frightening attack on him.
The incident occurred as Louis sat in his chauffeur driven Mercedes, waiting to leave the car park at ITV studios. A woman rushed up to the car and began trying to smash her way in by slamming a metal chair against the reinforced windows.
The paper reports that it took three security guards to drag the woman away, leaving Louis and his fellow passenger Holly Sweeney, horrified.
A friend of Louis’ told the paper, “Louis was terrified, and so was Holly.
“This woman was clearly a lunatic.”
In other news, the Daily Mirror reports that finalist Amelia Lily is a breaking point after being “attacked” by the other contestants.
It seems the hostility towards Amelia – who has gone back to being a blonde, having ditched the pink hair – got worse last weekend as all the finalists gathered to sing their charity single.
A show insider said, “Amelia got a lot of flack from the other singers because she came back halfway through the contest. She didn’t take the criticism well.
“She has been very down this week and told one crew member backstage ‘I don’t deserve to be here’.
“She has been staying on her own a lot and not really speaking to anyone except her brother Lewis, who gives her advice.”
Well, jealousy is an ugly emotion, and if Amelia is being picked on, then I would imagine that’s why!
Moving on now and it seems One Direction star Zayn Malik has moved on from his former relationship with Rebecca Ferguson, and is now dating Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.
The Sun reports that the new couple were spotted on a date together at the weekend, however, it seems Zayn’s band mate Niall Horan was himself keen to date Perrie.
A source told the paper, “Zayn has got in there first but Niall is obsessed with her too.
“They met her on the video shoot and have both been trying to win her over. “They [Zayn and Perrie] plan to come out as a couple after The X Factor has finished.”
Our final look at X Factor news today is that US singer Michael Buble reckons Simon Cowell has humiliated him and ruined his confidence.
Speaking to the Radio Times, Michael explained that during one of his live performances on American Idol, Simon “rolled his eyes”, which put the singer off completely.
He said, “I had to sing Call Me Irresponsible in front of 20million people.
“And the first thing I saw when I got on stage was Simon.
“I sang about four lines and he looked at me and did this [he rolls his eyes] and that was it, I was done. It killed me. My confidence dropped.
“Maybe Cheryl Cole gets a little quiet and more demure when she loses her confidence. But I become aloof.
“I get the attitude of, ‘Oh really? Well, f*** you. You don’t like me? Then go **** yourself. I’m just gonna do whatever.’”
He added that he was so upset, he confided in former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, who then went and confronted Simon.
Michael said, “I told her the story. She goes and tells him, and comes back saying, ‘The man didn’t even know he did it’.
“He was just probably sitting on his fifth hour of the show going, ‘Kill me now… and I’ve got to go to the bathroom’.
“But I’m so sensitive I took it as a rejection.
“Anyway, every time I’ve ever talked to him since then he’s been incredibly nice.”
