Plus Martin Kemp on Pam St Clements Walford exit, and spoiler clip of tonight’s episode
Making Walford headlines today is the news that seriously wayward teen Ben Mitchell is going to brutally murder Heather Trott…
And his dad Phil is set to help his wicked son hide the evidence – including destroying Ben’s blood soaked clothes – however, Phil’s girlfriend Shirley quickly becomes suspicious that Phil may have had something to do with her best friend’s murder.
That will put a massive strain on their relationship, and of course, if ever Shirley finds out what really happened, she may turn her back on the devious Mitchell family forever!
However, getting back to Heather’s murder, the Sun reports a show source as saying, “Heather’s life will go through various twists and turns over the next couple of months which will place numerous people in the frame.”
We can expect to see Heather’s murder towards the end of February.
In other EastEnders news, former Walford star Martin Kemp has said that he thinks Pam St Clement’s decision to leave the show, and her role as Pat Evans, was “the right thing” to do.
Speaking to Bang Showbiz, Martin – who played Steve Owen – said, “I still watch EastEnders from time to time.
“I did quite a few scenes with Pam, I remember we spent three or four days locked in a cellar once so we had quite some scenes.
“She’s a great actress, I’m sure she’ll go on to other things.
“I think she’s making the right move, it’s nice to spread your wings a bit.
“Although viewers will miss her I don’t think anyone is bigger than the show, it doesn’t matter who comes or who goes.
“When I was there I always thought the star of the show was and always will be the pub, the Queen Vic. Everything else is an extra around it.”
Finally, young Liam Butcher has taken very much to heart the words his dad Ricky left him with, which were, “You’re the man of the house now…”
So, as we’ll see tonight Liam decides to ditch school and get a job in order to help out his struggling mum.
Here’s a preview clip…
