Plus Amy Childs says TOWIE “ruined” her life! And Ryan Giggs lifts gagging order from Natasha Giggs
The Sun reports today that reality TV star and singer, Peter Andre, has made a frantic dash back to Australia to be at his brother Andrew’s bedside after hearing that Andrew has stomach cancer.
A friend of Peter’s told the paper, “Pete has been knocked for six by this.
“He found out last week that Andrew was ill with cancer and that it was actually really serious.
“He was in Africa but once he got back to England he flew straight out to Oz to be with his family.
“He’s left the kids with Katie and has told them that he’ll hopefully be back next week. “His other brother, Michael, has gone out there too. It’s a real nightmare for everyone. Pete is so upset and worried for Andrew.”
And last night, Pete said, “At the moment I’m not sure when I’ll be back as I want to stay here for as long as Andrew needs me.”
Andrew is apparently to undergo potentially lifesaving surgery later this week to try to remove the cancerous tumour, but of course, it’s a procedure that has inherent risks attached.
A friend of Andrew’s said, “Andrew is seriously ill and while the doctors have acted quickly by locating the cancer and making plans to operate, nothing is being taken for granted.
“It’s a very tense time indeed.”
We wish him all the very best and hope for a speedy recovery.
In other news, former TOWIE star Amy Childs has told OK! magazine that starring on the show has “ruined” her life.
Amy made the accusation after having endured various acts of vandalism against her and her family, such as having her home trashed and robbed, and her brother’s car scratched. Her father’s business was also trashed, and Amy thinks it’s all because of The Only Way Is Essex.
She said, “My life has changed so much and not all of it has been good. We’ve lived in Brentwood for ten years.
“We never had any problems until I went into TOWIE, but some things have started to go wrong.”
She went on to reveal that she had thought calling in the police would stop the acts of vandalism that were aimed at her and her family, but just a week after she reported the harassment, her home was burgled.
Of that, Amy said, “Our home was absolutely trashed. Oh my God, that made me so scared.
“They ransacked our home and attacked our dogs – my three pugs are literally my life.
“This has all happened since I became famous. I feel so guilty for my family.
“My mum and dad have given me so much support. I understand what happened to Whitney Houston…
“People are like, ‘It must be great to be famous.’ It is, but they don’t know how bad things can happen.
“It would petrify me to be on my own. After the attacks on Billie and Sam Faiers too, not to mention what happened with Lauren Goodger’s salon being petrol-bombed last week, I’m scared.
“I don’t like saying it, but I am. You become paranoid, afraid to go out.”
Amy has even been the victim of death threats on Twitter, and of that, she said, “Who are these people? Are they gonna come and try to hurt me? What have I done which is so wrong that they’re wishing me dead?”
The answer is, nothing at all – the world is just full of freaks!
Another reality TV star who has of course been hounded by internet trolls is former Celebrity Big Brother star Natasha Giggs, who of course became famous for the sole reason that she had an affair with her brother-in-law, footballer Ryan Giggs.
And when the affair was first made public, Ryan immediately applied for, and got, a gagging order – a so-call Super Injunction – to stop Natasha revealing any of the details of their affair.
He did the same with yet another ex-Big Brother star, Imogen Thomas, who also had an affair with him.
However, the Daily Star reports today that Ryan has now lifted the injunction, so in theory, Natasha can publicly discuss the details of their affair.
Yesterday, Giggs’ lawyer Hugh Tomlinson QC told Mr Justice Tugendhat, sitting in London’s High Court, “He has consented to the removal of the anonymity.”
I’m really hoping that we don’t see a tacky tell-all book appearing, penned by Natasha, because although I of course realize she could make a mint off the story, she came across as being a decent enough person on CBB, so it’d be a shame to remove that gloss to reveal a money-grabbing interior.
