The Voice UK overtook Britain’s Got Talent in the ratings on Saturday night, with an average audience of 10.68m between 7pm and 8.20pm compared to BGT’s 10.04m later on.

David Walliams and Paloma Faith have joined the cast of new BBC One comedy Blandings. The 1929 set comedy also featured Jennifer Saunders and Timothy Spall.
