Plus, Paula Lane on what’s ahead for Kylie & Michelle Keegan’s earring was “ripped out” during fight scenes!
We’ll being today’s Corrie news with Catherine Tyldersley, who’s told All About Soap magazine that when she suspects her boyfriend Nick Tilsley is having an affair with Kylie Platt, her character Eva will be “heartbroken.”
It will turn out of course that Nick and Kylie are most definitely not having an affair, but the green eyed monster in Eva has already let loose by the time she discovers she’s completely mistaken.
Of Eva’s suspicions about Nick and Kylie, and her massive reaction to it, Catherine said, “Eva’s a diva and likes a bit of drama…
“Part of the aggression she’s carried from being cheated on by her ex is now coming out with Nick, so she decides that it’s time to make a show of him.
“She reveals it in front of everyone at the Bistro, and I don’t think Nick or Kylie have a clue what’s going on.
“Everyone believes her claims, because all of her ‘evidence’ makes such sense – she’s chuffed to bits with herself as she’s sure she’s completely in the right and Nick’s got exactly what he deserves.
“However, it’s not long before Kylie and Nick have the chance to explain and it’s suddenly clear Eva’s gone too far.”
Catherine went on to say that when a furious Nick says he won’t forgive Eva for believing he’d been cheating on her, she’s left “gutted.”
Catherine said, “Eva is heartbroken – even more so because she’s brought it on herself.
“She’s gutted she didn’t just ask him outright rather than acting so immaturely.
“She just assumes she will get him back and, because of the way she feels about him, she will try.
“But whether she can win him over or not is a whole different ball game – Nick’s feelings aren’t anywhere near as strong as Eva’s are.”
We’ll see that drama as of Monday, May 21, but in the meantime, Paula Lane, who of course plays Kylie, has been talking to the TV Times about her character’s return to the Street, and the drama that follows.
She said, “She’s taken shelter at her friend Donna’s house, but Donna can’t afford to have someone under her roof, not contributing.
“Kylie tries her best to get a job doing something other than selling her body, but it doesn’t happen for her.”
Paula added that this week, we’ll see Kylie return after Nick persuades her to come home…
She said, “You’ll see that vulnerable young girl behind those feisty eyes.
“The audience will be like, ‘Oh no, she’s pulling on our heartstrings again!’ because it comes in waves with her; that’s the kind of girl she is.”
And another character who’ll be pulling at our heartstrings soon is Tina McIntyre, who is of course about to come off very badly when a scuffle with wicked Terry Duckworth gets out of hand…

In the Daily Star today, Michelle Keegan, who plays Tina, has revealed that she too suffered injuries as she filmed the fight scenes that culminate in Tina falling into a coma.
She explained, “Tina has never had a fight, although I’ve always wanted her to because she’s that sort of character.
“I’ve never done a stunt before either, so it was quite exciting.”
Nut she added, “The guy who held me – Greg Wood, who plays Rick – is lovely, but he grabbed me really hard and accidentally ripped my earring out!
“We were filming at the time so I had to carry on and my ear was throbbing.”
Aww bless her!
