The Voice UK: Will.i.am asked Jamie Oliver to cook pizza for his acts, and Tyler James’ nerves fear

Plus, Jessie J snubs BBC head honcho Danny Cohen!

It’s been a tough week for Will.i.am’s team members as three of them, Jaz Ellington, Joelle Moses and Frances Wood, have had a sickness bug that’s disrupted rehearsals for tonight’s live shows…

However, apparently they’re all fine now, and to celebrate, and in a bid to cheer them all up, Will.i.am told them he’d ordered pizza to be delivered as a treat for them all, but the finalists were shocked when they saw TV chef Jamie Oliver on the doorstep with their dinner.

Jamie had made the pizzas himself, and even hung around long enough to dish them out and have a chat with everyone.

Will also had another surprise for his acts – he recorded a track with them all this week which will be produced onto CD and given to the finalists as a “farewell gift.”

And while everyone was apparently pleased at the distractions, Tyler James can’t stop worrying that his nerves are going to ruin his performance on tonight’s show.

Speaking to The Sun, Tyler said, “I’ve been nervous every time and it always does affect my performance in some way.

“I just have to try to channel the nerves in a positive way.

“It gives you lots of adrenaline and you just hope that it doesn’t get too much that you are shaking.”

He added, “I love performing and I do love being there, as terrifying as it is.

“Hopefully as I progress — and generally in life — the more and more I perform I will conquer it and get to a point where I’m nervous in a healthy way, which I’m not now.”

Tyler will also be performing with coach Will.i.am tonight, of which he said, “We’re doing a medley mash-up of Just Can’t Get Enough, which is a Black Eyed Peas song, and Ray Charles’ I’ve Got A Woman.”

And finally, of being a contestant on The Voice, Tyler said, “It’s absolutely changing my life.

“I feel so chuffed, the positive things that are happening and being on stage every week as terrifying as it is, is amazing.

“I couldn’t possibly knock it, I’ll remember this for the rest of my life whatever happens.”

Well, someone who apparently can knock it, and has done, several times, is coach Jessie J…

And yesterday, she bit the hand that feeds by snubbing BBC controller Danny Cohen, who was the man who commissioned The Voice for the corporation.

The Daily Mirror reports that Danny came over to Jessie to congratulate her for her work on the show, but she “left him standing outside like a spare part as shocked staff looked on.”

An onlooker to the über awkward moment said, “Jessie is getting far too big for her boots. Nobody can believe what an impossible diva she has become.

“It was extraordinary, Danny is the most senior man at BBC1 and The Voice is his baby.

“He’s the man who flew over to Holland personally to sign a huge deal and buy the show, and he’s invested an enormous amount of his own time and energy in the format because he knows a lot rides on it.

“More importantly he was the man who gave Jessie J a job and turned her into a household name, so nobody could believe it when she left him standing outside in the corridor like a lemon.

“It was made clear that she was too busy to see him. It’s not a smart move to do that to the man who makes the big decisions.

“Everybody else at the studio was bending over backwards to be nice to Danny, but Jessie didn’t seem to care who he was.”

And a show source added, “Most staff avoid having to speak to her directly because she can be hard work.

“She’s very demanding, and always arrives with an entourage of managers and assistants, and has been late arriving to rehearsals and filming sessions.

“All of the other stars, including will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones arrived with maybe their manager or agent, but Jessie J turned up with a full entourage.

“There were so many people in one meeting that they had to send a runner to find extra chairs for all her staff.

“Nobody could really believe it at the time, but it turned out to be a sign of things to come.

“The other stars are much easier to deal with, even though some of them are a lot more famous.”

Yikes. I’m guessing that she may not be back next year…

Don’t miss The Voice tonight at the earlier time of 6.10pm!
