Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Sunday, 20 May 2012, 7:00PM – 8:00PM

With Paddy and Christine McGuinness, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, James Cracknell and Beverley Turner.

Get ready to see who really wears the trousers, as a host of famous couples attempt to win as much money as possible for their chosen charities in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Celebrity Couples Special on Sunday 20 May, 7pm on ITV1.

Uniting their specialist subjects, newlyweds Paddy and Christine McGuinness are the first celebrity couple facing quiz master Chris Tarrant. Take Me Out host, Paddy McGuinness hopes to raise cash for the British Heart Foundation while his wife, former beauty queen Christine, has chosen to support Breast Cancer Care. Will the loved up pair prove to be the perfect match as they try to win the magic million?

Presenting favourite Eamonn Holmes who will endeavour to win the jackpot for Clic Sargent’s Northern Ireland ‘Homes from Home’ Appeal commented; “The biggest achievement for us will be just agreeing on an answer. We’re thinking of introducing options A, B, C and D into our everyday dilemmas.” He is accompanied by his on and off screen partner Ruth Langsford, who is taking part on behalf of The Alzeheimers Society.

The This Morning co-host commented; “It’s a huge thrill getting to appear on a programme you have grown up watching as a viewer, but the bigger thrill is playing for the Alzheimer’s Society. The money we are trying to win could really make a difference. I am playing with Eamonn but playing for my Dad who suffered from the disease for many years.”

Finally, British rowing champion and Olympic gold medalist James Cracknell and his wife, sports radio and TV presenter Beverley Turner, take centre stage as the athletic duo look to climb the money tree on behalf of Headway, a charity set up to give help and support to people affected by brain injury.

Having raised millions for charity before by cycling, rowing and swimming a whopping 1,400 miles from Britain to Africa, the former Olympic Champion doesn’t settle for second best and together with Bever;ey, James aims to walk away with the seven figure cheque. But will they cross the finish line or will the questions prevent them from taking gold?

Overseeing proceedings is quiz master Chris Tarrant and the cash won by the contestants will be shared 50/50 between their charities and one lucky viewer at home.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is produced by Victory Television, a joint venture with Sony Pictures Television, and more information about the show is available at www.itv.com/millionaire.
