The tension-o-meter in the house rose by about 20 notches yesterday, which was only Day 3, and when Salad Wars erupted – albeit somewhat quietly – at lunchtime, things went from bad to worse…
The saga that might be subtitled, Dude, Where’s My Salad? began when Lydia was preparing a lunch of salad for everyone, however, while Lydia made the other housemates a fresh and crispy offering, she gave Victoria leftover salad from the day before.
No surprise then that feisty vegan Victoria got the hump about it and stomped off, sans wilting salad.
Things between Lydia and Victoria are in fact reaching fever pitch, despite the fact that in the morning, Lydia assured Victoria – who moaned about not being part of group in the house – that they are kindred spirits in terms of being “floaters.”
Lydia told Victoria, “I’m not in a group either. I never thought I was a floater, but I am in here. We’re both floaters.”
It’s gotta suck being a floater surely? I mean, who wants to be that persistent turd that simply won’t flush? Nobody, that’s who…
However, earlier on, Lydia stunned Caroline – she of the bird’s nest hairdo – by saying that she “can’t stand” Victoria.
Caroline responded, “Ok, so please explain? Why don’t you like her? I thought you were best friends?”
Lydia replied, “I can’t stand her. Honestly. I just keep talking to her to p**s her off. I keep putting myself in her face because I love it in here.”
Lydia later told Lauren that Victoria was only having tantrums “for air time.”
Yikes! Glass houses… stones… do these words mean anything to you Lydia?
Elsewhere, Ashleigh and Arron shared a steamy bath before BB provided all the tools to incite a game of Spin the Bottle. Yep, that’s right, it upset people, as it was of course intended to do.
Chris got upset when Victoria wouldn’t hug him, even though moments before she’d snogged Benedict – but to be fair, who wouldn’t snog Benedict – then Arron and Victoria had a set to over the fact that he’d chosen to evict her in a round of Snog, Marry or Evict?
Victoria got upset over it and claimed the only person she can trust is Lydia. Ooo epic fail!
That annoyed Shievonne, and several others, so in the spirit of Sod That I’m Not Getting Into A Slanging Match, Sara wisely declined to take part in Snog, Marry, Evict.
Here are the categories in their game of Spin the Bottle…
1. What is the Biggest Lie You’ve Ever Told?
2. Truth or Dare?
3. Snog, Marry, Evict?
4. I Have Never…
5. Remove 1 Item of Clothing
6. Perform a Party Trick
7. Who Do You Think Will Be Evicted on Friday?
8. Which Housemate Do You Fancy the Most?
9. Worst Thing About the Person to Your Left?
10. What is Your Best Physical Feature?
We will of course get to see the fall out in tonight’s highlights show, but for now, here’ s a clip.
While we’re having a cliptastic time, let’s check out Chris and Arron discussing their efforts to cheer Victoria up. Suffice to say, it didn’t go well…
Meanwhile, Ashleigh and Lauren reckon they know exactly what’s going on with the Victoria Vs Lydia malarkey…
We’ll have a news update for you right here on Throng this afternoon, so do call back for back for that, but in the meantime, who do you reckon is going to go on Friday?
I think Lydia’s outta there!
