Yesterday, Day 22, was all about the new shopping ‘100’ task – click here to see the housemates finding out about it – which has so far seen the housemates having to give up the things they hold most dear in order to win points…
For in this show, thanks to the excellent Machiavellian efforts of the Task Team, points do in fact make prizes, and the prize at the end of the task is of course a luxury shopping budget.
But, not only did BB make the housemates sacrifice possessions to the combined weight of 10lbs for the first part of the task – which saw toiletries primarily being sacrificed for the greater good – he then offered up 20 points to Arron if he cut up the housemates’ cigarettes.
Taking his life quite literally in his hands, for the nicotine deprived are historically a lethal bunch, he did the deed, cutting up the cigarettes and in doing so, incurred the wrath of smokers Adam, Lauren, Sara, Luke A and Shievonne.
And as if that wasn’t enough pain, the big fella then subjected Lauren and Luke A to the Room of Temptation…
Inside the room, awaiting Luke A, were numerous pictures of him and his wife Becki, and a big red telephone. He read on a wicked BB message that if he picked up the phone to talk to his wife, the group would lose 5 points.
A weeping Luke A didn’t pick up the phone, and returned to the main house righteous but super pissed off.
Next was Lauren’s turn, and waiting for her in the Room of Temptation was her sister Danielle and the promise of five minutes with her – while getting a rather rapid beauty treatment – which Lauren turned down…
Nicotine deprived and just as pissed off as Luke A, Lauren launched an attack on her bedding which can only be described as manic, and frankly, a bit scary. I bet that pillow was well sorry for what it had put her through…
But talking of being sorry, yesterday, BB gave Lydia and Deana a chance to make the housemates who’d nominated them very sorry by covering them in high-pressure jets of fish guts… most excellent. This pleases me.
Clearly relishing every moment, Lydia and Deana chose which three housemates they believed had nominated them, and inflicted upon them the smelly treatment, and that’s when things became rather tense…
It was all part of the shopping task, and if they correctly chose a housemate, they earned 10 points. If they chose the wrong housemate, they lost 10 points. So, there was a total of 60 points up for grabs.
Deana chose Arron, Conor and Luke S, who all took it like men, while Lydia, having said, “We have leaders and then the sheep. I’m going for the sheep” chose Scott, Becky and Sara who lamentably did not baa.
However, Lydia was wrong about Sara because she nominated Luke A and Luke S, but right to have chosen Scott and Becky who did both nominate her.

Also yesterday, Arron spent what seemed like a very long time explaining to Adam why he hadn’t told Luke S that Benedict had put the curry powder in his protein shake, however, his reasons/excuses didn’t sit well with Adam. Click here to see and hear their chat.
