BBUK: Day 24 Round Up: It’s all fun and games... until someone loses an eye!

As I reported yesterday, Day 24 was an unusually quiet day in the Big Brother house, and by quiet, I mean lacking in conflict, rows and paranoia, but of course, that couldn’t last, and it didn’t.

And as my mother used to warn when my brother and I were enjoying a bout of sibling roughhousing, “Yes it’s all fun and games, until someone loses an eye!” and though it used to make my brother and I nearly wee every time she said, it, she had a point.

In the case of the housemates yesterday, they could literally have lost an eye, or a limb, when they got a few garden games as treats from this week’s luxury shopping budget…

Conor ordered the use of an MP3 player for an hour (no eye losing antics there then) as well as a swing-ball set, which is a notoriously dangerous outdoor activity, and a table football game.

He also ordered doughnuts, which people quite rightly approached with some trepidation and only after Becky had had hers – better to be safe than sorry peeps – and everything was lovely in the Borehamwood garden…

But then, dun dun dun! It was time for a falling out since they’d gone literally hours without one. It came when Ashleigh got the hump that Lauren had two packs of cigarettes while the other four smokers, Sara, Shievonne, Adam and Luke A, only received one.

On being tackled about her double nicotine supply, Lauren explained that when Arron cut up the cigarettes as part of the 100 shopping task, the majority of those destroyed were hers, and to boot, they were cigarettes she’d brought into the house and had therefore bought them with her own money.

But Ashleigh was having none of it, and angrily told Lauren, “No, I’m not ‘avin’ it, we’re all smokers Lauren!”

To which Lauren replied, “You’re not even a proper smoker Ashleigh!”

That prompted a storming off in a strop, and after Lauren had hidden her stash, she also stormed off to tell Adam all about it at the smoking area.

Also yesterday, Big Brother put some questions to nominated housemates Lydia and Deana which Bit on the Side viewers had posed. Click here to see them answering them.

And of course, for one of them, last night was their last in the BB house, and therefore for Deana, this may have been her last kitchen debacle…

Who are you hoping to see go tonight?

I think in terms of who creates the most drama, I’d prefer to see Lydia stay, but on the other hand, her ego is already the size of Manchester, so I’d get a smug satisfaction from her learning that we don’t all worship her…

Oo dilemma! Let me know who you’re voting to save and call back later for news of what the housemates have been up to today.
