Plus new spoilers about Rob Donovan and Ryan Connor’s return
Stella Price is facing having something of an empty nest over the next couple of weeks because not only does she throw her boyfriend Karl Munro out tonight – because she believes he’s gambling again – in July, she’ll also order her daughter Leanne out after she reveals she’s dating Nick Tilsley…
With regard to that storyline, Stella’s other daughter Eva has of course been desperate to get back with Nick ever since he dumped her when she accused him of cheating on her. And she made it all worse by sabotaging a big event at Nick’s bistro, and all of it was based on her distrust, given it turned out Nick hadn’t been cheating at all.
So when Leanne and Nick officially become an item again, Eva’s so furious, she tells her mum that if she doesn’t throw Leanne out, then she will leave, and Stella comes down on Eva’s side and tells Leanne she has to go.
Jane Danson, who plays Leanne, recently told Soaplife that her character will react badly to Stella’s choice.
She said, “In true Battersby fashion Leanne brings up the whole ‘you left me when I was a child so it must be easy dumping me the second time round’.
“She’s hard about it, she has to be…”
Getting back to Stella throwing Karl out, we’ll see that tonight when Eva finds Karl with wads of cash, which he’s forced to reveal he won at a casino.
It’s the straw that broke the camel’s back for Stella, and she furiously packs up Karl’s belongings, telling him, “I loved you Karl, I trusted you, I gave you more chances than you were worth giving – and still this is the way you treat me!”
She then adds as a parting shot, “I wanted to change the world, and I wanted to change you. Now I just want to change the locks…”

Also making Corrie news today is a report from Digital Spy which reveals a few spoilers about the arrival on the cobbles of new bad lad Rob Donovan, who is Carla Connor’s brother, and the return of Ryan Connor, who is of course Michelle’s son.
DS report that when Rob turns up, he immediately starts up a romance with Eva Price, as well as taking over the management of Underworld when Carla takes a break from Weatherfield.
As to Ryan, he is of course involved with drugs, and is set to get Sophie Webster hooked on crack cocaine. But before that happens, he causes a fire to break out at No13, which is of course Steve McDonald’s house.
