Plus, see spoiler clip from tonight’s show, and Lucy Beale to find love with Joey Branning
In tonight’s hour long episode of EastEnders, the net seems to be closing in on wicked Michael Moon when the police show up on the Square and tell him he must go to the station with them so they can question him about the fraud complaint made by Jean Slater…
Meanwhile, back on the Square, his fiancé Janine’s sister Diane and brother Ricky have arrived in time to celebrate Janine and Michael’s wedding, however, while everyone’s distracted welcoming them back to Walford, Jean sneaks into Janine’s in search of the chain she gave Michael.
Fans will recall that after he confided in Jean about his mother’s suicide, a sympathetic Jean bought him a silver chain on which he could put the St Christopher his mother gave him…
But tonight, determined to play as dirty as Michael does, Jean finds the special piece of jewellery and flushes it down the loo! However, Michael hasn’t finished playing nasty mind games either, and he calls an undertaker, asking him to pay a visit to the Vic to organize ‘dead’ Stacey Slater’s funeral…
However, as everyone’s reeling from the shocking news that Stacey’s died, Big Mo reveals that Stacey is very much alive and that she’ s just had a phone a call from her!
And when some of those close to Jean begin to wonder if she called the funeral director, she loses control as she smashes glasses on the bar and screams about Michael’s “sick games.”
Kat, who’s injured as glass flies, eventually agrees with Alfie that Jean needs psychiatric help…
Here’s a clip from this must-see episode which airs tonight at 8pm on BBC1…
Our last snippet of Walford news today is that troubled teen Lucy Beale is set to find love with newcomer Joey Branning…
Joey is of course Derek Branning’s son, and when he arrives in Albert Square in the first week of July, he’s determined to take his sister Alice home where she’ll be out of Derek’s clutches.
However, when he hears that his father has been taking money from Lucy, as well as threatening her, he hatches a revenge plan, which means he needs to stick around longer than he intended.
But while he’s playing out his plan, Joey begins to develop feelings for Lucy, who has already fallen for him.
Describing them as Walford’s “hottest couple” an insider told the Sun, “Hetti is a really good actress and they have brought in David [Witts] as the perfect foil.”
Meanwhile, of his character, David said, “Joey knows that if he’s going to be around Lucy then it’s going to annoy Derek.
“He will absolutely relish that, because anything which riles up Derek will show his true colours.
“There will be a slight attraction between Joey and Lucy, as he can see that she’s a pretty girl.
“But certainly at the start, it seems as though she’s being used by Joey to annoy Derek.”
