Plus, Jean does an about turn over Michael, Kat’s wracked with guilt and Ian Beale’s back!
This week on EastEnders, it’s the big day of Michael and Janine’s wedding, but of course nothing’s going to go right for the couple…
Things first begin to go mammaries up when Michael owns up to having taken loadsa money from Jean Slater, and as if that wasn’t enough, he gives Janine an ultimatum which is, rip up the pre-nup or we’re done and won’t get married.
However, there’s worse to come because the stress of it all brings on Janine’s labour, and though she’s rushed to hospital, the couple’s baby girl is born a few hours later, and is barely clinging to life…
As she’s in the special care baby unit, surrounded by machines and anxious medics, Janine is advised that she should give her daughter a name just in case the worst happens, so she calls her Patricia which is of course after her stepmum Pat Evans.
But as we told you last week, Michael will overturn Janine’s decision and name the baby Scarlett when he registers her birth.
However, it remains to be seen if little baby Scarlett will pull through, but what is known is that in a fit of sympathy for new dad Michael, Jean will do a surprising U-turn over how he fleeced her of her own and the Vic’s money…
But just as Jean explains to an initially incredulous Kat that she must take some of the blame for her gullibility over giving Michael the money – and she adds that she realizes Michael only did it so he could pay for the wedding – Michael has gone missing, just when Janine needs him at her side more than she’s ever done before.
Then, in the first week of July, Kat’s thoughts and attentions are going to stray from all the problems at the Vic when she enjoys a good old flirt with all the Branning men – Derek, Jack and Max – as well as a newly returned Michael and pub chef Ray Dixon…
However, the morning after the night before, when it’s revealed that Kat slept with one of the men, see her wracked with guilt over cheating on Alfie yet again!
Who do you reckon is Kat’s mystery bloke?
Our final look at ‘Enders news today is that Ian Beale is headed back to Walford, however, when he arrives, his disheveled state and obvious mental health problems horrify his friends and family…
Not that Ian has too many friends on the Square, but luckily for him, his long term buddy Sharon Rickman – who was formerly Sharon Watts – is also coming back to Albert Square, but can she straighten Ian and his life out?
Well, that remains to be seen, but of Ian’s shock return, a show insider told the Daily Star, “Ian is unrecognisable. He’s dishevelled, has long hair and a long beard. He looks like a proper tramp.
“Viewers will discover that since he left he’s been living rough on the streets of London and has even become friends with other beer-drinking vagrants.
“It’s a shocking storyline. A lot of the cast and crew couldn’t believe Adam’s amazing transformation.”
But of Sharon’s return, and how she might help Ian, the insider added, “Sharon and Ian grew up together and are like family. If anyone can help him it’s her.
“He’s hit rock bottom and is in a bad way. He needs someone as close as Sharon to help him through. He’s a broken man.
‘
“There’s also killer Ben’s confession, which will be filmed next month.
“Whether Ian gets strong enough to turn him in remains to be seen but there’s going to be one hell of a fallout.”
