Which Apps would you like to see made into a TV show?

If you haven’t been a Draw Something addict then where have you been?

Draw Something takes its inspiration from Pictionary and basically has you playing against friends (or strangers) and guessing each others drawings.  Simple enough.  It was a huge success sometime back in March when it seemed like just about everyone was playing it.  Not so much anymore but that doesn’t matter as it’s already on its way to becoming a TV programme.

Earlier this week US channel CBS announced that they had won a bidding war to produce a pilot for the Draw Something gameshow.  The series is expected to include, ”teams of celebrities and everyday users, [and] viewers can also play along at home for a chance to win prizes.”

We’re not sure how well the app will transcend to television but if it does, it’s only a matter of time before other apps make it to our television screens as well.  So then, what apps would you want to see as a TV show?

Let’s take a look at some of the apps we’ve previously, as well as everyone else, been hooked on.

Fruit Ninja:  Chopping up virtual fruit and avoiding bombs.  Not sure this will make it past the Puss in Boots app variation to be honest.

And then there was Angry Birds.  Possibly the most famous app of all time which has already made the move from app to animation and there’s even an Angry Birds theme park somewhere in the world as well as a film.  It seems inevitable that a TV show of some sorts will be made although we’re not quite sure how it can be made in the most practical sense….

Temple Run could conceivably be made into a TV show by mixing some Indiana Jones scenery with some Total Wipeout action.  Of course, they would have to omit running off ledges and the monsters chasing them but maybe it could be on crash mats or something?

And then there’s Song Pop; the only app out of these I haven’t even downloaded let alone be hooked on.  The reason?  The pop in the title is a real giveaway.  Guess the song, it’s nothing new really is it but that never stopped anyone before.

What about Words with Friends?  A bit Countdown, a bit Scrabble but a words game could well make it to the TV screen although it won’t make for thrilling television but then again Wheel of Fortune was relatively successful.

Ah, what about Flick Kick Football?  Although there is a real likeness to the game they play at the end of Soccer AM except without the defenders and the goalkeeper….  Given some more elements and maybe with celebrities it could become the football version of Big Break?  Yes?

Ok so we’re clutching at straws here.  We don’t really see how any of these would make for great TV but then we don’t make shows, we write about them and we like them or hate them so what apps would you like to see on TV?
