BBUK Day 39: Shievonne’s outta there, Conor builds some bridges & Ashleigh proposes to Luke S… Awkward!

Yesterday was of course Day 39 in the Big Brother house, and for Shievonne, Friday 13th was indeed unlucky as it saw her outta there…

And to be honest, now she’s gone, and now that Conor has begun building bridges in the house by apologizing to Scott and Becky for anything he’s done that’s upset them – and suggesting they start afresh from now on – I think the Derry boy has a fair chance of winning this show.

And what a remarkable turnaround that would be; going from Britain’s most hated man to the nation’s sweetheart in a matter of weeks.

In fact, I’m so convinced he is truly in with a good chance of winning – assuming there are no more angry outbursts from him that is – I might even have a bet on it!

However, back to yesterday’s house action and as ever on a Friday, things tend to be fairly quiet in the lead up to the excitement of an eviction, but BB did run a small task by the HMs which saw them having to scream as loudly as they could in the Diary Room having received a fright of some kind.

Whoever screamed the loudest won themselves a treat, and as that turned out to be Lauren, she won a big ice cream sundae by way of reward.

Here’s what everyone was subjected to to prompt the screams…

Becky – a skeleton
Deana – a mummy
Adam – a spider
Scott – a rubber severed leg
Caroline – an empty box
Luke A – toy snakes
Sara – a ghost
Luke S – a pineapple carved with a scary face
Lauren – a vampire teddy bear (winner)
Ashleigh – a shark in a fish bowl
Conor – a mouse
Shievonne – Big Brother said boo

So with that excitement over, everybody returned to preparing for the eviction, and all was fairly quiet until Shievonne left…

However, in the wake of her leaving, a horribly awkward moment occurred when Ashleigh proposed to Luke S, and he clearly a) did not want to say yes, and b) was quietly fuming that she’d said it.

Click here to see a clip, but be warned, it’ll send your O-That’s-Awkward O’Meter off the scale…

However, many of their fellow housemates were just too darn pleased to have booze and fags to care what was going on with Lushleigh, and Conor was so happy to have been saved again this week, that he was in über buoyant mode…

He told his fellow HMs, “We’ll get a good task on Tuesday and we’ll fly it!”

Do you think we’ve seen a nicer side to Conor this week? And do you, like me, think he’s actually in with a chance of winning the whole shebang now?

Let me know and I’ll be back later with a round up of today’s house action.

In a bit y’all.
