Yesterday, Day 52, saw the housemates rowing about what the shopping budget should be spent on – which you can read about here – however, it turned out that none of it mattered anyway because Caroline ordered chocolate bars to the value of £550.
As we saw in one of this week’s highlights shows, as she’s facing eviction this week and is convinced she’s leaving, she promised to sabotage the shopping list, and frankly, if any of the ‘Outsider’ housemates had done what Caroline did, their lives in that house wouldn’t be worth living.
However, because Caroline’s an ‘Insider’ and therefore part of the cool kids’ gang, barely anyone said a word about her stupid stunt, other than Scott, who told her she was “100% selfish” for what she’d done, which of course now sees the HMs having no cigarettes and only basic rations from BB this week.
Luke A and Adam were of course far from impressed, given they ran out of cigs days ago, but both realized it was pointless to make a fuss, given that Caroline had the backing of Luke S, Ashleigh, Conor and Becky…
Man I hope Caroline goes tonight! Do you?
In other Day 52 news, yesterday Big Brother challenged the housemates to a game of personality bingo, a task designed to “test their knowledge of each other but more than likely to also push their egos to the limit.”
The HMs had to pick a trait that best described their fellow housemates from those that were listed on the board in front of them.
The housemates played in alphabetical order, picking a word that best described them.
The selections were made in secret, written on a board and displayed one by one.
Housemates received a point for each personality match they made correctly, and the winner – the HM with the most points – would receive a special prize at the end of the day.
Luke S won, having been branded cheesy by his fellow housemates and of course, himself.
His prize was a dinner full of protein foods which he ate in the Diary Room.
Here’s what BB’s website says about how the other HMs described themselves…
The Personality Bingo task was less about how much housemates knew about each other and more how little they were willing to admit about themselves.
With characteristics including bubbly, funny, debonair, competitive, snobbish, loyal, cheesy and hot-headed to choose from Adam picked honest and scored just one match – with Luke A. Almost all the other housemates considered him competitive. Oops.
Luke S sucked it up and chose cheesy as his trait although he said “debonair” when he held his card up – we can all dream Lukey.
There was the potential for some awkward moments. Becky appointed herself ‘funny’ but Deana considered her more ‘outspoken’.
We could pretty much see the tumbleweeds. Luke A said she was, ‘powerful’ which went down just slightly worse.
Becky was ‘bubbly’ according to Luke S who said Ashleigh was ‘funny’. This prompted Adam to say, “I think you have Becky and your girlfriend mixed up,” a comment which got firmly up Luke S’s nose and is still wedged there.
Luke S emerged victorious much to his delight. Being tagged as cheesy has its upside.
The results were as follows: Adam one point, Caroline, Conor, Sara and Scott two points, Becky and Luke A three points, Ashleigh four points, Deana six points and Luke S seven points.
I’ll be back later with more news from the house on what is, for one of them, their last day.
