BBUK: Gold Rush task teaches former gangster Adam that “ho down” doesn’t necessarily mean his sister’s been shot

Today is Day 41 in the Big Brother house, and on waking, the housemates discovered that they’d been transported back to the Wild West, where men were men and so were the women.

Decked out with cacti, straw bales and gold mining equipment, this week’s shopping task has a very special prize attached – in addition to a luxury shopping budget – and it is immunity from nominations this week.

Here’s how it’s going to work…

Conor made himself Sheriff when he volunteered to go to the Diary Room first, and he subsequently chose Caroline to be his Sheriff. Unlucky housemates.

Between them, they’ll oversee tasks for the two days of the challenge, and their own first task was to divide the housemates into three teams – The Good, The Bad and The Really Ugly. Only one of these teams can triumph in winning immunity this week, though they can – and will have to – nominate and this Monday, they have to nominate FACE TO FACE!

Whippee!

Here’s a clip of the housemates discovering the Old Wild West in their very own living room…

Not everyone was impressed, and Adam moaned, “Man, I hate the wild west…” making me wonder how often he’s been there.

However, he’s going to have to learn to love and live it because this is it for the next two days!

Here’s a run down of who’s in which team, and just by the by, Caroline and Conor had to chose who was on which team based on their personalities.

The Good:

Scott – He is a good Catholic boy and has a good heart.
Sara – She’s very honest and moral.
Luke S – He took the joke yesterday so well and he cleans up.

The Bad:

Adam – He’s a bad man.
Deana – It says it for itself.
Ashleigh – She’s got a bad moth – a dirty mouth.

The Really Ugly

Lauren – She’s moany.
Luke A – He was an ugly warden. He was unjust and discriminated against us for our uninteresting conversation.
Becky – She’s superduper funny but her farts are ugly. Absolutely disgusting.

Needless to say, those choices, and the reasons for them, are already causing a lot of tension, and it’s only going to get worse since Conor declared, “If people have a problem with it, I don’t care.”

So, by midday, Becky was unhappy to be with Luke A and Lauren because she reckons everything she is for, they’re against.

By 12.30pm, Deana, Ashleigh and Adam were shackled together and will remain that way until the end of the task, except for loo breaks and sleeping.

1pm saw Conor telling Caroline that he thinks Deana’s going to try and ruin the task on purpose, and Adam saying he doesn’t intend to spend the day following Luke S around, but as he’s Shackled to Ashleigh, he may not have much of a choice.

And at 1.38pm, Caroline and Conor picked Adam, Luke A and Scott for the first task, which is a shoot ‘em up game for which Becky, Ashleigh and Luke S were fitted with fake bums.

The task involves one housemate paint balling another’s plastic rear. Within seconds, Scott shot Becky, landing a well aimed ball, but Ashleigh has refused to take part in the task and so Lauren replaced her.

And that’s where we must leave our housemates for today, but I’ll be back first thing in the morning with a full run down of all this afternoon’s events!
