Plus X Factor’s Tulisa faces enormous legal bills, and TOWIE stars threaten to walk over pay dispute
We’ll begin today’s reality TV news with a report in the Daily Star that Big Brother housemate Scott Mason could face being thrown out of the house after being given an official warning from the show’s producers after he threatened fellow housemate Becky Hannon with violence.
The paper report that incident happened when Becky accused a drunk Scott of being an alcoholic.
He responded with fury, telling her, “I’d come over there and slap you if I was.”
He then launched into a major rant, yelling, “I find people annoying. I’ve never heard so much sh*t in all my life.
“Just f*** off you tw*ts.”
When Becky told him he could be given a warning from BB over what he’s said, he replied, “It’s the truth, bitch. Just kick me out of the house.”
Scott was immediately called to the Diary Room and reminded about the rules regarding behaviour in the house…
He’s already been warned for alleged racist comments after he made fun of Deana Uppal for eating with her hands, claiming she does it because she’s Indian and “it’s their culture.”
Earlier on in the series, Scott was also hauled into the Diary Room and told to stop spraying alcohol based perfume into his mouth during a booze ban.
Over to X Factor news now, and a report in the Sun that judge Tulisa is facing huge legal bills that currently stand at
around £100,000 over her fight to name and shame her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards – and several of his associates – over the infamous sex tape footage.
A source close to Tulisa said, “Tulisa firstly paid a legal team to have the tape removed from websites.
“Then she wanted to make an example of her ex-boyfriend who admitted in court he leaked it.
“It’s cost her a bomb so far – and she’s still not finished.
“Even if she wins financial compensation it’s unlikely she’ll ever see any of it and she’ll end up paying for the case herself.
“Financially she’ll have lost, but she might see it as a moral victory.”
The paper adds, “Using top-flight lawyers Lewis Silkin, she is accusing [Edwards associates] of plotting with Edwards to make £4million by selling the six-minute clip on the web.”
One of the alleged conspirators is music manager Chris Herbert, who created The Spice Girls. He has was recently dumped from his consultancy role on this year’s X Factor over the debacle.
The source added, “Ironically, if Chris had been able to keep his job at The X Factor he would have had no problem paying up if Tulisa proves his involvement.
“But now he’s been booted off the show, that’s in question.”
Finally today, it’s over to The Only Way Is Essex, where it seems the cast are so angered by being “overworked and underpaid,” that they considering a walk out.
Some of the cast have complained that they worked for 13 hours in the heat on Sunday, and to add insult to injury, many
of those scenes ended up on the cutting room floor.
The cast of the hit ITV2 reality show are paid £80 a day to appear, and of the possible walk out by cast members, a show insider said, “A lot of the cast members have been complaining about how hard they are worked for little money.
“On Sunday a lot of them put in a 13-hour day and later found their scenes had been dropped. There are a lot of unhappy stars at the moment.”
The paper adds, “TOWIE is one of ITV2’s biggest hits, regularly pulling in more than a million viewers.”
What do you reckon? Is £80 too little? Or do you think it’s a reasonable sum?
