The X Factor's bootcamp may depart London due to Olympics

The X Factor’s bootcamp stage may be moved away from London this season due to the London 2012 Olympics.

In the past, contestants have congregated in London to take part in the bootcamp phase in order to impress the judges ahead of the judges house stage.

It is understood that this year having the show in London will not be feasible due to the Olympics, so an alternative city is being recommended.

Manchester and Birmingham are the frontrunners to replace London.
