Plus, Dog the Bounty Hunter’s visa confusion and Blake Fielder-Civil overdosed over Amy texts
We’ll begin today’s reality TV news round up with a report in the Daily Star Sunday that states X Factor judge Gary Barlow will be back at work on filming for the show next week.
Gary and his wife Dawn have of course been heartbroken over the death of their fourth child, Poppy, who was stillborn on August 4th.
A source close to the X Factor judge told the paper, “Gary has had so much to contend with this week. It has been one of the toughest he’s ever had to face.
“But he is a true professional and still took time out to call producers to say he has no plans to back out of the series.
“Everyone was stunned by his brave attitude.”
However, the insider added, “Telling singers they haven’t made it through to the live shows is already emotional…
“It is incredibly brave of Gary to agree to come back for it when he’s already feeling emotional.”
Recently, Gary thanked fans for their support over his bereavement, saying, “Your kind words and lovely messages are overwhelming. thank you.”
In other news, the same paper reported today that Dog the Bounty Hunter – whose real name is Duane Chapman – had finally been granted a visa to enter the UK and can therefore take part in the forthcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother.
However, on Twitter today, none of Dog’s official sources could confirm this.
The paper quotes the insider as saying, A CBB insider said last night: “To say he’s had a colourful past would be an understatement.
“He’s been to prison so many times the Celeb Big Brother house will probably be easy for him.
“No housemate has ever had a criminal record quite like this.
“Getting the paperwork proved a massive problem.
“It was touch and go whether or not he’d be able to take part.
“It was only finalised at the 11th hour.”
We’ll keep you posted on further developments, but I guess we won’t really know what’s going on until Wednesday when he either does or doesn’t go into the house!
Finally today, it’s been reported by The Sun that Blake Fielder-Civil went on the drink and drugs binge that ended with him being critically ill on life support after he re-read text messages from his former wife, the late Amy Winehouse.
Blake’s mum Georgette, from Sleaford Lincs, said, “He had messages on his phone from Amy which he only got recently.
“He didn’t have the phone in prison and he picked up messages from her when he was released.
“She said she wanted to be Jack’s godmother. The grief for Amy started again. I fear he may have been trying to take his own life.”
She added, “If he pulls through it may be two months before he is discharged. The worrying thing is if he then goes back to his substance misuse.
“Next time he won’t make it, there is no doubt about that.”
