Continuing today is the successful comedy series centring around the Hennessy family, starring the late John Ritter as family patriarch Paul and Katey Sagal as mum Cate.

When Cate goes back to work full-time, Paul stays at home to raise their teenage daughters Bridget and Kerry, and son Rory. Paul soon feels overwhelmed with the task and, drawing on his days as a sports writer, begins to write a regular column called ‘8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter’. The rules include “Bring her home late, there’s no next date” and “Only delivery men honk –dates ring the doorbell... once!”

In today’s episode, Paul wants the family to get together for one last Halloween camp-out in the old treehouse, but Bridget, Kerry and Rory all have their own plans. The three kids club together to come up with a way to tell their dad they do not want to spend Halloween with him –but how will Paul take the news?
